The Plan:
Take the day off
Visit Monorail resorts and Wilderness Lodge to see Christmas decorations
Dinner at Kona Café
Dessert at Grand Floridian
Because of the forecasted storm, we took Tuesday off. We slept until almost 10. It was glorious. And we woke up to a crazy thunderstorm that lasted most of the day, so it was the perfect day to stay in the room and sleep.
That evening, we had dinner reservations at Kona Café and headed out to the Polynesian.

What a beautiful resort!
I had the Kona Coffee Rubbed Pork Tenderloin. Chris had the Ahi Tuna. I loved my pork, but Chris found the Ahi Tuna too spicy…which means it was crazy spicy.
After dinner, we hopped on the Monorail and went over to the Contemporary to see the Mary Blair style Gingerbread display. Then we hopped back on the Monorail to head over to the Grand Floridian to see the Gingerbread House and Tree.
Do not miss this. You must do this. Put on some pretty clothes and go get a picture taken at this Christmas tree. Then go buy some gingerbread.

At this point, we had planned to ride the Monorail to the Magic Kingdom, get on the Wilderness Lodge boat and go over there, but we decided to call it a night and go eat our gingerbread.
Lesson Learned: Spend more time at the resorts!!! Also, I always thought the Contemporary was my bucket list Disney resort…it is the Grand Floridian AND the Polynesian.
