The Plan:
Breakfast at Akershus at 9:15
World Showcase Holidays Around the World Counter Clockwise starting in Norway
Gran Fiesta Tour
Illuminations

When I planned this, I was worried about being let into the park to get back to Norway in time.
On Friday, we woke up to cold. Like misty, windy 50 degree cold. So, we bundled up in…get this…jeans, tshirts, sweaters, undershirts and jackets and headed out to Epcot for a 9:15 breakfast reservation at Akershus. We arrived at 8:30 and were let directly into the park. Whew.
We slowly made our way back to Norway and at 8:45, we checked in for our reservation. We were told that they were turning over the restaurant, but Frozen Ever After was open with no wait and we had plenty of time to ride before our breakfast.
We headed over there and were greeted with a 0 minute wait sign. We walked slowly through the queue to look around and got directly on a boat. It was a perfect ride!
By the time we got off the ride, there was a 35 minute wait. It was about 9:10 so we got in line for our Akershus reservation.
I met Belle!!!! Belle has long been one of my favorite characters and she is difficult to meet in the park, so we finally got to meet her.

We enjoyed the breakfast and our server was great. I love getting to chat with the people who work in the World Showcase. There is a smorgasbord with some Norwegian delicacies. We tried a bite of everything. The server brings the hot food to your table to enjoy family style. They bring scrambled eggs, bacon, and a Norwegian potato casserole.
As areas are filled, the princesses start coming around. We met Snow White, Ariel (in her formal wear), Sleeping Beauty, and Cinderella. After a little while, they had a princess processional and invited all the children to participate. It was adorable!!!!!

We had gotten the Candlelight Processional Package, so we had guaranteed seats at the 5:00 show. This breakfast was hugely productive!
After breakfast, we meandered around because the World Showcase was about to open and the Holidays Around the World storytellers were about to start.
We started in Norway with Sigrid and Juliessen. Do not miss this storyteller! Hilarious!

Then we went over to Mexico and rode the Gran Fiesta Tour, which is one of Chris’s favorites. We went over to Canada and were able to get a seat for the next show of the Holiday Voyageurs.
Our tour around the world was going well!!!
We stopped for coffee, because it was cold, and then headed into the United Kingdom to hear the Father Christmas storyteller.
Then, we hit France (Far Ahead of Schedule!) and heard Pere Noel speak, did some pictures and moved over to Morocco for their storyteller.

On the way there, we stopped to try some Duck Confit at one of the holiday food booths and absolutely enjoyed it! I love that they have included this in the mix this year!
After Morocco, we rested for about 30 minutes while listening to the drums in Japan and the band in Morocco. After that much needed break, we went shopping in the Japan department store and then watched the Japan storyteller talk about Daruma dolls.

We strolled over to the America pavilion and caught a bit of the Hannukah storyteller and then listened to the Voices of Liberty sing some carols before grabbing a snack.

By this time, it was 4:30 and we needed to go get seated for the Candlelight Processional…which was already quite full. Anthony Mackie was the narrator and he was wonderful. We truly loved this show!
By the time the show was over, it was dark and the wind was blowing, but we headed over to Italy to hear Belfana’s talk. Then, we shopped a bit and headed over to Germany to shop and hear Helga’s story. After Helga’s story, we went over to the China pavilion and had dinner and shopped and waited for Illuminations with the Holiday tag at the end.

After Illuminations, we made our way out of the park. We really enjoyed the projections on the back of Spaceship Earth. We swung through Mouse Gears and then got some pictures of us all bundled up at the front of the park.

Lesson Learned: I would repeat this day again and again, but to make it perfect, I would add a late lunch reservation in Italy and do a later Candlelight Processional show.
