Lessons Learned: Walt Disney World Christmas Trip Report Final Day

The Plan:
Pack the car
Breakfast at Chef Mickey's
Start the trip home
We had a breakfast reservation for 7:30 AM, so even though most of our stuff was packed, we were only able to move most of our stuff to the car in time for breakfast, so we decided to go to breakfast, come back, use the facilities and grab the last of our stuff before heading out.
We parked near Bay Lake Tower and made our way into the Contemporary for breakfast at Chef Mickey's. We were the first table to arrive for the day, and since we are habitually early for dining reservations, we had some time to take pictures with Chef Mickey and look around the waiting area.
We were called to our table and settled in. We had heard differing opinions about the food, but we loved it. Mickey Waffles. How have I gone so long in my life without these? Because we were extremely early, we had a chance to go the the buffet twice before the characters came out.
Definitely a highlight of the trip!
As a side note, we were flying high on Chef Mickey's as we were leaving...sugar, mixed with Mickey and pals and a week of Disney magic...and we were chatting and something made me laugh. A cast member on her way in for the day was walking toward us and said that my joyous laugh already made her day! What a way to end a trip!
Lesson Learned: I will make it a point to do this breakfast buffet on almost every trip from here on out. We loved it!
