I'm sorry for my extended absence. I had some family things come up that I felt needed attention...then it was time to get the house ready for Easter and surprisingly, my house is not a GIANT mess after Easter.

I am a huge podcast addict...which ironically is the name of the app I use to listen to podcasts. And Disney podcasts are my weakness...I listen to 8 of them.

1. WDW Prep to Go

WDW Prep to Go is a podcast by Shannon Albert, founder and owner of WDW Prep School...which is one of the best WDW planning websites out there. I enjoy the quick topics she gives, the quick tips and her occasional first time visitor trip reports. With a normal run time of about 20 minutes, it is easy to turn on while you are running to the grocery (trip reports are typically an hour or more). While this podcast was originally released weekly, it has gone to a more sporadic release schedule.

2. WDW Today

WDW Today is a podcast by Logan Sekulow, Terry Weaver and Will Haynes. About a year ago, they took over the podcast. I was not listening to the original hosts but until recently really enjoyed this podcast. This podcast features news, random WDW topics and a listener question segment starring Len Testa, the author of the Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World, which is published annually. Len also runs www.touringplans.com. Episodes typically run 45 minutes. New episodes are released weekly on Wednesdays.

3. WDW Radio

WDW Radio is a podcast by Lou Mongello, who is Disney Podcast royalty. WDW Radio has won the best travel podcast 9 times. This podcast features famous Top 10 Lists with Tim Foster, the Wayback Machine with Ryan P. Wilson, Disney history topics, live restaurant reviews, interviews with Disney legends and reviews of special events. This podcast is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year. Episodes typically run for 1-2 hours and are released most Mondays.

4. Disney Dish

Disney Dish is a podcast by Len Testa and Jim Hill. Jim Hill is a prominent Disney historian. This podcast focuses on Disney history, news and rumors. While you can subscribe to get full access, some episodes are free (which are the ones I listen to). The rumors segments are typically very interesting. Episodes usually run 20-30 minutes. Len and Jim release 2-3 episodes a month.

5. Top of the World

Top of the World is a podcast about Disney Vacation Club by Terry Weaver of WDW Today and Joel Reynolds. This covers mostly topics about the DVC. Episodes typically run 40 minutes. There does not seem to be a definite schedule for this podcast.

6. Disney Every Week with the PassPorter Moms!

This is a podcast by Sara Vance Varney and Jennifer Anderson Marx. Passporter is a Disney planning website that is in its 19th year. This podcast features general Disney topics, a community celebration corner and listener questions. Episodes typically run 30-60 minutes that are released weekly on Thursdays.

7. Disney Cruise Line Blog

Disney Cruise Line Blog Podcast is by the Anderson Family who also runs the Disney Cruise Line Blog. It features reviews of ships, ports, rooms, trip reports and itinerary updates. Episodes run about 45 minutes and are released sporadically.

8. Ear to There Podcast

Ear to There is a podcast by Phil Gramlich, owner of Ear to There Travel, a Disney Authorized Planner. In the same vein as WDW Radio, this is a very upbeat podcast about general Disney topics. My favorite thing about this podcast is the companion release The Word of the Week. The Word of the Week is a 10-15 minute episode about a word...history, where you can find it in the park, etc. He goes alphabetically and is currently on his second go around...this week should be an M. Weekly podcasts are generally about an hour and release on Mondays. Word of the week is 10-15 minutes and release on Wednesdays.

Whew, I know, that is a lot, but I listen to it while I drive, clean, and cook.

Happy Monday!
