I have been dealing with a depression for almost a year now and, while I have been making thoughtful decisions to turn it around, something in May got me over that last hump.
While I am not exactly sure what was the lift in my spirit, I will credit two things. I have been interviewing for a position as a travel agent that focuses on Disney destinations. I still am not sure where that process has landed (fingers crossed...I really love the company and the ladies I have spoken to already), but it definitely gave me the spark that new opportunity can provide. The second thing is a new (to me) podcast I have been listening to...Happier with Gretchen Rubin. I started off slow with this podcast, but have taken to binging through 5 or more episodes most week days. In a few weeks, I plan to expand on my positive experience with Happier, but it was definitely something that gave me tools to use to bring up my spirits.
Oh, we also paid off a car!
Other notes for May:
I got a new phone...my old one basically gave me a warning sign that it was about to just die.
I went to my cousin's wedding in Cincinnati and then followed my parents home to Illinois and hung out with friends and family.
I tried Restorative Yoga...it is safe...you don't balance on one foot on a hard floor.
I got back to water aerobics.
Wal-Mart rolled out their grocery pick up service to my area!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
