Travel Planning: What do I do the week before a trip

I love trip planning! Ok, you know that. But I love all of the stuff we do the week before a trip too. So here is my week of schedule.

We usually leave on Friday morning.

Monday

Laundry and Ironing

Pack trip specific gear and set aside

Set aside trip clothes so we don't wear them

Clean the Guest Room, Guest Bath, Hallway and Laundry Room

Tuesday

Last minute errands

Check and refill toiletries as needed

Clean our bathrooms

Hold mail

Wednesday

Take the turtle and the fish to their respective sitters

Deep clean Bedroom, Living Room and Kitchen

Any last remaining loads of laundry and ironing

Clean out the refrigerator

Take out Laundry Room, Guest Bath, Office and Living Room trash

Thursday

Pack

Take the cat to the kennel

Mani/Pedi appointment

Tidy the Living Room, Bedroom and Kitchen

Sweep the Living Room and Kitchen

Finish remaining food

Take luggage to car

Pick up rental car (if necessary)

Friday (before we leave)

Kitchen and Bathroom Trash

Pack last items (like hairbrush and makeup)

And that is how I schedule the week before our trip! I like to come home to a clean house and not run around like a crazy person the day before we leave.
