I am not someone who likes to fly. Flying itself is fine, but the uncertainty of air travel makes me crazy. So, when I have the opportunity to drive, I do. That being said, Miami, which is 13.5 hours away, is my limit.
The day before our cruise, we hopped in the car at 3:30 AM and headed out the door.

We had the tamest, calmest, quietest road trip ever. It was awesome.

I spent most the trip in the back seat reading and napping, thanks to Jason drinking a 5 hour energy prior to his first rotation into the driver's seat.

This would be some Zaxby's to go here. Not the easiest to eat in the car, but much tastier than a lot of options.
We hit Florida in record time.
And the rain didn't even really slow us down!
We pulled into the Hyatt Place in the Doral neighborhood around 9:00 PM, signed up for the 10:30 AM shuttle the next morning and ordered food from Sushi Runner (very good).
After eating, we watched some TV and went to bed.

The next morning, we got up, enjoyed a great breakfast at the Hyatt and loaded onto the shuttle to the port.
The shuttle arrived before 10:00 and since it was scheduled to be full, we hopped on early.

Our shuttle pulled out at 10:25, we were the second stop for the shuttle and we were off the shuttle by 11:05. Since that was during our check in time, we got to walk directly in, go through security and head upstairs to the waiting area.
