One of the highlights of my week is when the Happier with Gretchen Rubin podcast pops up in my feed. Happier is hosted by Gretchen Rubin, creator of the Happiness Project, and her sister Elizabeth Craft, a writer in Hollywood.

One of their weekly segments is "Try This at Home" where they offer suggestions on how to make your daily life happier. These suggestions range from "make your bed daily" to "the one-minute rule".

A few weeks ago, in episode 147, they decided to make of list of 18 things they want to accomplish in 2018, and challenged their listeners to do the same. A quick search on Instagram for #18in2018 or #happierpodcast returns a large number of results of lists that have been shared by people across the world.

So, here is my list of 18 in 2018

1. Write Daily

2. Learn German

3. Use a Gratitude Journal

4. Use a One-Sentence journal

5. Make a Go of the Blog

6. Become a Travel Agent

7. Daily Devotional

8. Read 60 books

9. Buy a Shed

10. Adopt!

11. Create my Perfect Planner

12. Send Monthly Updates to Friends and Family

13. Travel to a New Place

14. Complete 2 Whole30s

15. Workout 2-3 Times a Week

16. Remodel Bathroom

17. New Bedroom Carpeting

18. New Kitchen Flooring

As they year progresses, I will share updates as I complete the items that can be completed in the year. For those items that are more of a daily or monthly item, I will check in about those as the year progresses.
